Thomas David Media is a photography and videography company that uses top of the range equipment to create videos and photos for our customers. Thomas David Media has full Public Liability Insurance covering up to £5m.
Thomas David Media, also known as ‘TD Media’ for short, was started in June 2019, but in October 2021 the name was changed from ‘TD Aerial Imagery’ due to the name sounding limited to aerial images only. We also do photography, videography, photo and video editing as well as content checking, therefore the name was changed.
We are also in the process of working towards a General VLOS Course (GVC), which was formerly known as a Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO). These courses are part of the aviation industry and are a requirement by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for drone pilots & businesses to work commercially.
About Me:
My name is Tom and I am a photographer, filmmaker, photo and video editor from Derby, England, using top of the range equipment, such as the Sony Alpha 1, DJI Ronin RS2, DJI Mavic 2 Pro and more.
Thomas David Media started in 2019 under the name ‘TD Aerial Imagery’ due to pursuing a direction purely in aerial images. After completing the required drone course, the law changed and a new course was created. The air law became much tighter and it became more restricted to fly in certain areas.
So, I needed a new direction… But which way?
I was using the Canon EOS M50 for a hobby purposes and posting my photos and videos on social media. People started approaching me asking me to do photography and videography for them. I mostly turned these down due to not having the correct lenses at the time, but after some hard saving from my day job, I invested in another camera and more lenses, equipment and accessories allowing me to do more jobs people required, thus, in October 2021, Thomas David Media was born.
I have over 4 years of experience in the photography and videography field. Described by a large majority as “having a natural eye for photography”. Whenever I’m not at work or doing camera-related jobs, I’m out with my camera or editing images.
I have had numerous clients for a range of jobs. I ensure clear and precise communication throughout the required task, so that my clients are kept up to date with the job progress. I endeavour for complete customer satisfaction.

While customer satisfaction is our top priority, we focus on being an eco-friendly company using renewable energy provided electricity to charge equipment and outsource any other work to companies with a like-minded, eco-friendly approach.
